AI Is Not Replacing Advisors, It Is Sorting Them

Ask yourself a hard question: if a client could get your financial plan generated in ninety seconds for free, what exactly are they paying you for?

That is not a scare tactic. It is the actual math of where technology is heading.

General planning, portfolio construction, and basic projections are becoming fast, cheap, and good enough. Competing there is a losing game.

What does not commoditize:
1. Tradeoffs with no clean answer. Sell the business now or in three years? Care for a parent or protect the retirement plan?
2. The emotional side of money. How a client feels, not necessarily what the math says is optimal
3. Coordination across a messy life. The CPA, the attorney, the Fractional CFO, and the client all pulling in different directions until someone connects them.

The advisors who struggle will be the ones whose value proposition overlaps most with what technology now does for free. Focus on the aspects that AI will not commoditize.
