The Pain Point
You have a great CRM. You have solid financial planning software. You have a tax tool, a notetaker, a client portal, a scheduling tool, and a portfolio management platform.
You also have eight browser tabs open at all times, three places where client data lives in slightly different forms, and a nagging feeling that something important slipped through the cracks between your last meeting and your next one.
This is the hidden cost of the best-in-class stack. Individual tools are great. A collection of individual tools that do not talk to each other is a full-time job.
The best advisors are not adding more tools. They are replacing disconnected stacks with unified platforms that do more with less.
So What? - The Race to All-In-One
The advisor tech landscape is consolidating. Not at the firm level, but at the platform level. The question every vendor is now being forced to answer: are you a one trick pony or an all in one option?
Incumbents are responding by embedding. Wealthbox launched AI Agents. Altruist built Hazel and added tax planning modelling. Every major platform is racing to become the last tool an advisor needs to open.
Newcomers are building from scratch with no legacy architecture to work around. Tools like FinDash are proving you can replace 8 to 12 tools with a single data layer and AI agents built entirely on advisor feedback.
Here is what this means for your practice: the total cost of your tech stack will come down, integration headaches will decrease as data is seamlessly connected, and advisors will not have to juggle 8 different user interfaces. The question is not whether this consolidation happens. It is whether you get ahead of it or react to it.
Spotlight: FinDash - From Cluttered to Clarity
This spotlight draws on Bob Veres' March 2026 deep dive in Inside Information as well as conversations with FinDash's founder.
Built From Real Pain, Not a Pitch Deck
Most advisor tech is built by technologists who interviewed advisors. FinDash was built by an advisor who got frustrated and a son who knew how to fix it.
FinDash was built not on a concept, but a solution to real operational pain at a real firm. The vision was to aggregate the entire client balance sheet, net worth, and financial life in one place.
FinDash creates one central repository for client data: custodian data, bank and credit card data, CRM capabilities, document vault, onboarding forms, electronic document signatures, AI notetaker, financial modeling, tax planning.
AI agents sit on top of the data to conduct pre-meeting prep briefs, post-meeting summary emails, Roth conversion modeling, retirement projections, cash flow analysis, onboarding auto-fill, and multi-step workflow automation.
In addition, the connected client portal offers a one-stop shop for both client and advisor where sharing information, assigning tasks, and coordinating workflows are seamless. A major win for the client to have one location to access. A major win for your team in terms of training, up keep, and communication.
The Take
FinDash is early with approximately 60 firms. There are improvements to be made in advanced trading and rebalancing, CRM functionality, and planning capabilities. Advisors accustomed to incumbent technology solutions will have to learn different user interfaces and experiences.
However, for advisors tired of tool sprawl who want a connected system where data flows automatically - this is a top notch solution that will keep on innovating at rapid pace.
One major advantage I have heard and seen from advisors using FinDash is the responsiveness and rapid innovation from advisor feedback. With an advisor I work with using the platform, he sent an email with a feature request for a better client experience that was incorporated same day. The iteration cycle is measured in days or weeks, not quarters or years typical with incumbent advisor technology. Firms using FinDash are shaping the roadmap in real time.
Another advantage is pricing. At $299/month, this includes 2 advisor seats as well as unlimited client and prospect accounts. Additional individual per-user pricing ranges from $125–$149/user per month. For firms, this could be a major cost savings to go hand-in-hand with the decreased pain of technology fatigue.

Updates From The Industry
Zocks: Shipped its May update with three notable additions: a Mobile AI Assistant, a Schwab integration, and Insights Model Context Protocol capabilities for natural language interactions with your data.
So what: The Schwab integration is significant allowing advisors to pull account balances, holdings, positions, transaction history, unrealized gains, and account status directly from Schwab for easy use. The mobile assistant closes a real gap for advisors handling calls and impromptu client conversations away from their desks.
Wealth.com — Ester Intelligence Expansion: Following the $65M Series B in April, Ester Intelligence is expanding from document and planning intelligence into a fully integrated intelligence layer for modern wealth management.
So what: Wealth.com is building from estate planning toward a broader wealth intelligence layer. Watch for expansion into other financial planning areas in short order to compete with others vying to be last tool an advisor needs to open.
